Robotics Workshop with UCSF at Visitacion Valley MS @ Visitacion Valley Middle School
Feb 27 @ 12:25 pm – 1:25 pm

Visitacion Valley Middle School’s IGNITE chapter is looking for a diverse group of women for beginning one-on-one robotics support as girls and non-binary students participate in a short robotics workshop using Lego Mindstorm! Students will be reverse engineering the code already programmed into the robot by shining a light on the robot and seeing what happens. They will then explore how Genetic Engineers use robots to study cells!

The chapter is also looking for women in all STEM fields to tell their story on a panel. This chapter would particularly love to hear from mathematics students and professionals and all STEM professionals who are making a positive difference in their world using STEM.

The students will be able to leave with an understanding of how the robot they interacted with is like a cell and with an inspiration to pursue their passions!

Register to provide one-on-one robotics support and/or speak on a panel.
