DESCRIPTION:\nInspire IGNITE Students in STEM!\n\n\n\nIGNITE aims to increase gender diversity wage/high demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. Women, nonbinary, transgender, agender, and genderqueer professionals working in these fields are highly encouraged to sign up as panelists!\n\n\n\nThis is an incredible opportunity to change an IGNITE student’s life! After signing up as a panelist, volunteers are required to review our 10-min Panelist Training Video at least once per school year and attend a live, interactive Virtual Panelist Coaching Session if they have not attended one in the past. Training must be completed by Wednesday, November 30.\n\n\n\nStudents at this school are interested in environmental and social justice so volunteers working in these fields are especially encouraged to sign up. Students’ first languages at this school are Spanish and Hmong. We encourage volunteers who may have the same first languages to sign up.\n\n\n\nWe are also looking for a Facilitator and Tech Host to moderate and provide technical support, respectively. The Facilitator and Tech Host will meet with our IGNITE organizer for a 1-hour scheduled training before your first event.\n\n\n\nWe are also looking for a Spanish translator to use Zoom’s Language Interpretation technology to translate the event from English to Spanish.\n\n\n\nFinally, you can help capture the inspiration during this event by signing up to be an IGNITE Event Recorder and writing an event summary for the IGNITE Worldwide website ( https://www.igniteworldwide.org/news/ ), with a time commitment of 10:00 – 11:00am PT.\n
