DESCRIPTION:\nInspire IGNITE Students as part of Oak Harbor High School’s second annual Women in STEM & Skilled Trades event! This event will take place in-person at 1 Wildcat Way, Oak Harbor, WA 98277. Participation includes sharing your story on an IGNITE Panel, answering student questions, and meeting with students in small groups to share more about yourself and your work.\n\n\n\nIGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in STEM and Skilled Trades fields, such as technology, engineering, welding, electrical services, and construction. Women, nonbinary, transgender, agender, and genderqueer professionals working in these fields, and those whose first language is Spanish, are highly encouraged to sign up as panelists!\n\n\n\nThis is an incredible opportunity to change an IGNITE student’s life! After signing up as a panelist, volunteers are required to review our 10-min Panelist Training Video at least once per school year and attend a live, interactive Virtual Panelist Coaching Session if they have not attended one in the past. Training must be completed by Feb 27, 2023.\n\n\n\nFinally, you can help capture the inspiration during this event by signing up to be an IGNITE Event Recorder and writing an event summary for the IGNITE Worldwide website.\n\n\n\nOak Harbor High School does not currently have any COVID protocols in place. Protocols are subject to change based on local health guidance.\n
