DESCRIPTION:\nInspire IGNITE Students in STEM during an IGNITE Panel at Burton High School at 400 Mansell St, San Francisco 94134!\n\n\n\nIGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high-demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. Burton High School serves a diverse student population, with high percentages of Latinx and Asian students and students who speak English as a second language. \n\n\n\nStudents at Burton High School speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, French and a mixture of other country dialects such as Filipino, Vietnamese, Thai and others.\n\n\n\n Women, nonbinary, transgender, agender, and genderqueer professionals who represent these perspectives are highly encouraged to sign up as Panelists to share their stories and answer student questions!\n\n\n\nThis is an incredible opportunity to change an IGNITE student’s life! After signing up as a panelist, volunteers are required to review our 10-min Panelist Training Video at least once per school year and attend a live, interactive Virtual Panelist Coaching Session if they have not attended one in the past. Training must be completed by Friday, January 6.\n\n\n\nFinally, you can help capture the inspiration during this event by signing up to be an IGNITE Event Recorder and writing an event summary for the IGNITE Worldwide website ( https://www.igniteworldwide.org/news/ ).\n
