DESCRIPTION:\nInspire IGNITE Students in STEM!\n\n\n\nIGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. Women, nonbinary, transgender, agender, and genderqueer professionals working in these fields are highly encouraged to sign up as panelists!\n\n\n\nAre you smarter than your smartphone? During this Virtual Work-Based Learning Experience, middle school students will play a few rounds of Rock, Paper, Scissors against Afiniti’s bot and experience machine learning in real time with software engineers, strategists, and other Afiniti employees who help our gadgets get to know us better. Students will learn about the basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and engage in up to 3 different activities with (and against) their Machines.\n\n\n\nAfiniti uses artificial intelligence to identify subtle and valuable patterns of human interaction in order to pair individuals based on behavior, leading to more successful interactions and creating happier, more loyal customers and agents along the way.\n\n\n\nYou can help capture the inspiration during this event by signing up to be an IGNITE Event Recorder and writing an event summary for the IGNITE Worldwide website ( https://www.igniteworldwide.org/program/ ).\n
