DESCRIPTION:\nInspire IGNITE Students in STEM during an IGNITE Panel at Rainier Beach High School at 8815 Seward Park Ave S Seattle, WA 98118!\n\n\n\nIGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. Rainier Beach High School serves a diverse student population, with high percentages of Black, Latinx, and Asian students and students who speak English as a second language, including speakers of Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. Women, nonbinary, transgender, agender, and genderqueer professionals who represent these perspectives are highly encouraged to sign up as Panelists to share their stories and answer student questions!\n\n\n\nThis is an incredible opportunity to change an IGNITE student’s life! After signing up as a panelist, volunteers are required to review our 10-min Panelist Training Video at least once per school year and attend a live, interactive Virtual Panelist Coaching Session if they have not attended one in the past. Training must be completed by May 22. Note that this event includes two back-to-back 75-minute panels with a short break.\n\n\n\nFinally, you can help capture the inspiration during this event by signing up to be an IGNITE Event Recorder and writing an event summary for the IGNITE Worldwide website ( https://www.igniteworldwide.org/program/ ), with a time commitment of 8:45am-12:15pm (this opportunity can be split among two volunteers; please indicate whether you are available for the earlier (8:45 am) panel, the later (10:30 am) panel, or both.\n
