SUMMARY:Field Trip at Afiniti (Washington, DC)
DESCRIPTION:\nStudents will visit the Afiniti offices in Washington, DC, where they will participate in a hands-on workshop introducing them to the basics of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). Students will explore three AI experiments, including trying their hand at Rock, Paper, Scissors against Afiniti’s AI bot and teaching a machine to recognize and distinguish objects and sounds! Afiniti mentors will briefly introduce Artificial Intelligence, and students will have an opportunity to hear from a panel of AI/ML professionals, followed by a Q&A session. All students who attend will receive Afiniti swag!\n\n\n\nAfiniti is a world-leading applied artificial intelligence company that uses patented technology to pair customers and agents based on how well they are likely to interact, making moments of human connection more valuable. Using customer- and agent-specific information and over a hundred more data elements, they are focused on creating the best possible user experiences. All in way less than a second! \n\n\n\nThis field trip is open to students in grades 6-12 in the Washington, DC area.\n\n\n\nEducators, be sure to take our short educator training before signing up for this event.
