SUMMARY:Virtual Women in STEM Panel (High School)
DESCRIPTION:\nInspire IGNITE Students in STEM!\n\n\n\nIGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high-demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. Women, nonbinary, transgender, agender, and genderqueer professionals working in these fields are highly encouraged to sign up as panelists!\n\n\n\nThis is an incredible opportunity to change an IGNITE student’s life! After signing up as a panelist, volunteers are required to review our short Panelist Training Video at least once per school year and attend a live, interactive Virtual Panelist Coaching Session if they have not attended one in the past. Training must be completed by January 16, 2024.\n\n\n\nWe are also looking for a Facilitator and Tech Host to moderate and provide technical support, respectively. The Facilitator and Tech Host will meet with our IGNITE organizer for a 1-hour scheduled training before your first event.\n\n\n\nApproximate time commitment:\n\n\n\nNew Volunteer: 3.5 hours – 2 hours prep (training, coaching, materials review) + 1.5-hour event\n\n\n\nReturning Volunteer: 2 hours – 30 minutes prep + 1.5-hour event\n
