DESCRIPTION:\nInspire high school IGNITE Students in STEM during a panel as part of the STEM Conference at Bates Technical College!\n\n\n\nIGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high-demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. Attending schools serve a diverse population, including students who identify as Hispanic/Latinx and Black/African American. Women, nonbinary, transgender, agender, and genderqueer professionals who represent these perspectives are highly encouraged to sign up as Panelists to share their stories and answer student questions!\n\n\n\nThis is an incredible opportunity to change an IGNITE student’s life! After signing up as a panelist, volunteers are required to review our short Panelist Training at least once per school year and attend a live, interactive Virtual Panelist Coaching Session if they have not attended one in the past. Training must be completed by January 27, 2025.\n\n\n\nBates Technical College Central Campus is located at 2320 S. 19th, Tacoma WA 98405. The STEM Conference takes place from 10:30 am-1:30 pm, with the Panel occurring during the second half of the event.\n
