DESCRIPTION:\nInspire IGNITE Students in STEM!\n\n\n\nIGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high-demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. During this event, 4th and 5th grade students at Brigadoon Elementary School will play a few rounds of Rock, Paper, Scissors against Afiniti’s bot and experience machine learning in real time with software engineers, strategists, and other Afiniti employees that help our gadgets get to know us better. Students will learn about the basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and engage in up to 3 different activities with (and against) their Machines.\n\n\n\nAfiniti makes moments of human connection more valuable! Since 2006, Afiniti has been a pioneer in customer experience (CX) artificial intelligence (AI), delivering measurably better business outcomes for some of the largest enterprises in the world. Afiniti uses massive data & artificial intelligence to identify subtle and valuable patterns in human behavior in order to pair individuals better with their interpersonal interactions. \n\n\n\nWe are looking for a Spanish Translator to provide live translation from English using Zoom language interpretation tools. This role includes meeting with our IGNITE organizer and other volunteers for a 30-minute scheduled training before your first event to familiarize yourself with IGNITE and the interpretation tools.\n\n\n\nApproximate time commitment:\n\n\n\nNew Volunteer: 3 hours – 2 hours prep (training, coaching, materials review) + 1.5-hour event\n\n\n\nReturning Volunteer: 2 hours – 30 minutes prep + 1.5-hour event\n
