If you don’t have IGNITE at your school, please email contactus@ignite-worldwide.org to get started!\n\n\n\nSite Visit to the UW ICA Basketball training facility as a follow up to our first outreach event (in person lego construction building exercise). Students will be able to see how General Contractors work with Architects, Designers, Structural Engineers and other trade partners to bring the owners vision to life. This project team is a predominantly female team, and the project focuses on equity in design to offer equal access to both the mens and women’s sports teams through identical high performance training spaces for the University of Washingtons Bball, VBall, and Gymnastics programs.\n\n\n\nBehind the greatest moments of sports, iconic plays, and championships are countless hours of training to optimize athlete performance and overall team health. Athletes train and perform in spaces that are made possible by the work of architects, engineers, contractors, and building operators. Teamwork is essential to success in sports and Design-Build construction teams alike.
