Microsoft STEM Workshops are open to all Ignite Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.
Join a team of STEM professionals at Microsoft for an interactive workshop! When signing up, choose the workshop topic and a 90 minute period that is the best fit for your students and IGNITE will reach out to you to confirm the event details.
Girls and non-binary students will learn 21st century STEM skills and work closely with Microsoft professionals for a hands-on activity. After the workshop, students will hear from an inspirational panel of women who work at Microsoft and engage in a questions and answers discussion.
You can choose from the following workshops:
Learn to Code with Microsoft Small Basic (Web Version)- Students will participate in a fun coding workshop that can be adjusted to fit different experience levels. Open to grades 4-12.
Design 101: Creating Great User Experiences – Learn how to make devices, websites, and apps easy to use! This workshop covers User Experience (UX) Design fundamentals, including design thinking, design best practices, and accessible design. Open to grades 4-12.
Data 101: Making Discoveries With Data – Data is everywhere around you – at school, in music and entertainment, on social media, and more! Students will learn how to collect, visualize, and analyze data to discover insights and inform decisions. Students will also hear about many amazing data career opportunities. Open to grades 4-12.
