Field Trip at Cruise (San Francisco, CA)
While visiting Cruise on-site, students will have an opportunity to tour the garage for a hands-on look at their autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, both present (Bolt) and future (Origin), meet Cruisers from various backgrounds that help make it possible to have driverless vehicles on the road, and learn how Cruise impacts communities through projects like their meal delivery program and FIRST Robotics sponsorships. The tour will be followed by a hands-on, small-group activity to explore the abilities of AV technology to interpret data and make decisions, as well as a Q&A session with a panel of Cruisers. All students who attend will receive Cruise swag!
Cruise is a self-driving car company; they design and build autonomous vehicles, write the code that makes them work, and operate an autonomous ride-hail service in San Francisco and around the country!
This field trip is open to high school students in the San Francisco Bay Area.
