Field Trip at Stryker (Redmond, WA – High School)
During this event, students will learn about the design, production, and application of Stryker’s life-saving products. Professionals from Stryker will lead students through their concept lab, where product prototypes are created using a diverse array of tools – followed by a tour of the production floor, where all of the AEDs and Monitor/Defibrillators are assembled, tested, and shipped out to customers. Then, to tie everything together, Stryker will demonstrate how their products are used in real-life situations by showing how to use a defibrillator during resuscitation! A lunch and Q&A panel discussion with women from across the industry will follow.
Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with their customers, they are driven to make healthcare better, offering innovative products and services in many different medical categories that help improve patient and healthcare outcomes. The Stryker Redmond site focuses specifically on Automated External Defibrillators and Monitor/Defibrillators that help resuscitate patients in sudden cardiac arrest.
