Virtual Field Trip with The Home Depot w/ swag!

Teachers, be sure to take our short teacher training before signing up for the event.

Only teachers, counselors, or adult staff members at a school can sign up for IGNITE events. If you are a student, please let the IGNITE Teacher at your school know that you are interested in this event. If you don’t have IGNITE at your school, please email to get started!

Students will be introduced to The Home Depot and participate in a critical thinking activity helping students relate to what doing STEM here is like. They will also hear from women in STEM tell their stories, share their challenges, and how they overcame them. Students will then participate in a live question and answer session!

The Home Depot is the world’s largest home improvement retailer. Their goal is to help doers get more done! They help people complete their home improvement projects by finding what they need in stores and online and by getting advice from our over 400,000 knowledgeable associates. The Home Depot has stores all over the US, Canada, and Mexico!

Students will learn what it means to work in technology and STEM in a large company. There are many teams that have to come together to make life easier for customers and store associates. From distribution to online services to our in-store processes, all these require some element of technology or analytics to make them come to life.
