I wish to share my story with IGNITE Worldwide to other IGNITE members all over the world.
IGNITE has inspired me to be computer literate, with computers being a major tool in today’s education and seeing older girls who are highlight computer literate in their achievements. IGNITE is a very helpful program, in terms of education and career. As we all can see, in today’s world is computer literate and leading to greater discovery and using technology evolution to a greater level. It is mandatory regardless of what discipline or area of study. I have been helped and inspired by IGNITE to study industrial chemistry. Science and engineering studies and fearful to many students, but with IGNITE, the confidence is built up to pursue meaningful careers and to be successful like older girls and IGNITE matrons in Katsina. Hajia Muibat Taiwo and Mr. Abdulraheem Abdulhakeem always encourage us with motivational talks as well as seeing successful women within the society.
IGNITE has always succeeded in inspiring girls. I now have great confidence that wherever I am, I can stand up on my own in terms of technology and encourage other girls. IGNITE is very inspiring especially with the knowledge that other girls share. Before I found myself to be a member of IGNITE, I used to be scared of science courses and technological aspects, but I have been inspired to be bold, courageous, and moving toward my career as I study and research to understand through use of technology devices.
