We had another amazing Transportation You /Ignite event at Franklin High School in Seattle last week. About 75 girls came to learn about bridges and test out their own designs (see attached photos). Bridges had to span a 10 inch gap and were made of toothpicks and gumdrops. We had some very creative designs and several that held an impressive amount of weight. Several girls are interested in moving on to the ASCE popsicle stick bridge competition in February. A big thanks to Jacobs for sponsoring the event.
