On April 27 the IGNITE community gathered to celebrate diversity in STEM. Ignite the Future, IGNITE Worldwide’s annual fundraising gala took over T-Mobile’s Tech Experience Center and 5G Hub in Bellevue, WA for a night of inspiration and to highlight the importance of representation in STEM.
The night featured a number of speakers exemplifying why equity in STEM is the pathway to a brighter future. They included Erin Raney, Sr Director of Network Technology Services and Innovation at T-Mobile Tech Experience, Dr. Dani Pfeiffer, Superintendent of Federal Way Public Schools, Lindsay Hua, VP of Global Deployment and Head of Diversity in Technology at Afiniti, Mark Wright, Event and Podcast Host at Point to Point, and IGNITE Student Speakers.
The funds raised during the Ignite the Future Gala are used to provide and expand the reach of the IGNITE Program –Â a sustainable, scalable, and effective program that works with educators to reach students during the school day. It is through the incredible support of our partners and donors that contribute to IGNITE Worldwide continuing its mission to inspire girls and gender-diverse students to explore the opportunities within STEM, and at no cost to the students IGNITE Worldwide serves.
