IGNITE Worldwide Attends TechAlliance’s 2024 State of Technology Luncheon

TechAlliance’s 2024 State of Technology Luncheon was an event that towed the line of innovation and ambition. IGNITE Worldwide COO, Cheri Jensen, attended the event held in a packed venue with over 600 attendees, which offered a conducive environment for meaningful connections and inspiring discussions.

Solutions Through Similar Values

The theme of the luncheon aligned with IGNITE Worldwide’s mission of promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM fields. Notable speeches from Spokane and Seattle mayors underscored the critical need to enhance diversity within the tech industry. Their messages resonated with IGNITE’s values, emphasizing the necessary battle to ensure equitable representation in technology sectors.

Senator Cantwell, along with other keynote speakers, addressed the importance of initiatives and programming that work to bridge the gender gap in technology. The recurrent theme was clear: diverse perspectives are essential for a more representative and impactful tech industry.

Hearing the mayors of Spokane and Seattle speak passionately about the need for updated, widespread programs to engage underrepresented youth in tech was motivating and validating. It reinforced the urgency of IGNITE’s work and highlighted the importance of our role in shaping a more inclusive future for STEM.

Building Meaningful Connections

The event also provided an unparalleled opportunity to connect with influential figures across various sectors. Networking with leaders from investment groups, universities, clean energy firms, and communications companies was invaluable. These connections are poised to support IGNITE’s initiatives by fostering collaborations that can drive our mission forward, ensuring we continue to inspire the next generation of STEM innovators.

Engaging with potential funders and partners not only enhances our fundraising efforts for the IGNITE Program but also opens doors for future collaborations that can amplify our impact. We can secure the resources and support needed to expand our programs and reach more students by establishing relationships with stakeholders who share our vision for a diverse tech industry.
