On December 15, an online IGNITE meeting was held with students from Szkoła Podstawowa in Siedlec Duży. Fifteen students took part in the session.
The students met virtually with Natalia Chojnacka (IG: @karierawit), an experienced IT professional and mentor. Natalia has worked in the IT sector for over 10 years, combining business and technology through data. She specializes in building data-driven solutions that help organizations better understand their operations and make informed decisions. Her professional experience includes roles at Accenture and EY, and she currently continues her career at P&G. In addition to her professional work, Natalia actively supports women as a mentor, helping them build confidence and careers in the IT field.
During the meeting, Natalia spoke about:
how to use data wisely,
why women are critically needed in technology, and
her personal career journey — from growing up in a small town with limited opportunities to building a successful career in IT.
The meeting was highly authentic and motivating. Following the discussion, students participated in a practical exercise in which they learned how to use data to analyse real-life, school-related problems. This activity demonstrated that data are not just numbers, but powerful tools for making real decisions.
The session helped demystify careers in technology and showed that the IT world is accessible to girls, regardless of their background. Special thanks go to Natalia Chojnacka for her openness, energy, and inspiration, as well as to the students for their active participation and to Szkoła Podstawowa in Siedlec Duży for their cooperation and openness.
