IGNITE STEM Conference at Bates Technical College (Tacoma – High School)

Only teachers, counselors, or adult staff members at a school can sign up for IGNITE events. If you are a student, please let the IGNITE Educator at your school know that you are interested in this event. The annual IGNITE STEM Conference at Bates Technical College is back in person for 2023! Experience the Advanced Technology Center at Central Bates Technical College, and get hands-on learning in high-demand STEM fields! High school IGNITE students will get a glimpse at what life is like on a college campus and learn about the programs and environment at Bates. They will engage in hands-on activities with Bates faculty on topics like Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Broadcasting & Video Production, and Cybersecurity. There will also be opportunities to meet and talk with diverse professionals who work in exciting STEM fields at the IGNITE Panel. All students who attend will receive Bates notebooks and lanyards!

Bates Technical College does not currently have any COVID protocols in place. Protocols are subject to change based on local health guidance.
