Inspire IGNITE Students in STEM!

IGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high-demand STEM and Skilled Trades fields, such as welding, fabrication, construction, and engineering. Women, nonbinary, transgender, agender, and genderqueer professionals working in these fields are highly encouraged to sign up as panelists!

This is an incredible opportunity to change an IGNITE student’s life! After signing up as a panelist, volunteers are required to review our short Panelist Training Video at least once per school year and attend a live, interactive Virtual Panelist Coaching Session if they have not attended one in the past. Training must be completed by May 10.

We are also looking for a Facilitator and Tech Host to moderate and provide technical support, respectively. The Facilitator and Tech Host will meet with our IGNITE organizer for a 1-hour scheduled training before your first event.

Approximate time commitment:

New Volunteer: 3.5 hours – 2 hours prep (training, coaching, materials review) + 1.5-hour event

Returning Volunteer: 2 hours – 30 minutes prep + 1.5-hour event

A short training session will be required for this role. You will manage the behind-the-scenes tech needs during the event. Experience with Zoom is preferred.

This person will attend the event and be available to act as a substitute for our Tech Host. A short training session will be required for this role. You will manage the behind-the-scenes tech needs during the event. Experience with Zoom is preferred.
