In-Person Women in STEAM Panel at Burton High School (San Francisco)
Inspire IGNITE Students in STEM during an IGNITE Panel at Burton High School at 400 Mansell St, San Francisco 94134!
IGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. Burton High School serves a diverse student population, with high percentages of Latinx and Asian students and students who speak Spanish, Mandarin, French, Vietnamese, Chinese as a first language. Women and gender-diverse professionals who represent these perspectives are highly encouraged to sign up as Panelists to share their stories and answer student questions!
This is an incredible opportunity to change an IGNITE student’s life! After signing up as a panelist, new Panelists are required to complete our Panelist Training and attend a live, interactive Virtual Panelist Coaching Session.
The total time commitment is about 2 hours of pre-event preparation for new Panelists and 15 minutes of preparation for returning Panelists, in addition to two hours for the event itself. Training must be completed by January 16.
Approximate time commitment:
New Panelist: 4 hours: 2 hours prep (training, coaching, materials review) + 2-hour event
Returning Panelist: 2.25 hours: 15 minutes prep + 2-hour event
