In-Person Panel at James Lick Middle School (San Francisco)
Inspire IGNITE Students in STEM during an IGNITE Panel at James Lick Middle School at 1220 Noe St, San Francisco, CA!
IGNITE aims to increase gender diversity in high-wage/high demand STEM fields, such as technology and engineering. For this event, the school is specifically requesting Latinx and Black women and gender-diverse STEM professionals to reflect the identities and experiences of James Lick Middle School’s student community.
This is an incredible opportunity to change an IGNITE student’s life! After signing up as a panelist, new Panelists are required to complete our Panelist Training and attend a live, interactive Virtual Panelist Coaching Session.
The total time commitment is about 2 hours of pre-event preparation for new Panelists and 15 minutes of preparation for returning Panelists, in addition to two hours for the event itself. Training must be completed by May 1.
Approximate time commitment:
New Panelist: 4 hours: 2 hours prep (training, coaching, materials review) + 2-hour event
Returning Panelist: 2.25 hours: 15 minutes prep + 2-hour event
